sailing photoTim and I arrived aboard 0900. Packed stuff away. Mike and Britton arrived around 0930. Quickly got the boat ready and headed off mooring at 0945 in light air. Sailed toward Portland till we reached the edge of the ripples on the water. Tacked and headed North past large ship with Coast Guard vessel standing by and dive boat with divers in the water. Continued past Basket Island toward Chebeague and Little John. Reached nun near Little John and turned back south. Sailed between Lower Basket Ledge and Basket Island, then between Cow Island Ledge and Clapboard. Continued with a couple of tacks up towards Portland. Near Eastern Prom the weather began to look threatening and cocktails were beckoning. Ran back to Falmouth in increasing nice breeze. Flew through the anchorage and despite slight tension, picked up mooring under sail with little trouble at 1400. Light showers required awning, then we enjoyed firmly poured Mt. Gay and Tonics, cheeses, and sausage. Packed up and departed boat around 1700.
