Distance Travelled: 16.5 nm | Camp Island to Bucks Harbor via Stonington

cruise photoUp around 0730. Breakfast etc. Departed 0945 for short power to Stonington. Billings let us hang on one of their moorings for a few hours at no charge. Nice ship's store/chandlery at Billings. Well stocked with things you might actually need! Got 1 1/8" bilge hose. H and G dinghyed to Stonington while I re-repaired bilge pump. Work was hampered by immense wakes from boats going up and down the Thorofare. ¶ Left Stonington at 1245. No wind. Powered the whole way to Bucks. H drove; I sat on foredeck with a book knowing it was my last chance NOT to drive. Arrived Bucks Harbor 1530; picked up usual mooring. Headed ashore for trash and food shopping. At the dock saw Andrew and s/v Cookie (from Western Way). Had a nice chat. Cookie's owner, David, took G aboard to try to catch a mackerel, then gave him a pkg of mackerel jigs. Nice folks.Invited Andrew over for cocktails, then went up to the mkt. Got a few things then back to boat. Listened to preseason pre-game and game (Pats @ Bucs).Andrew came aboard for cocktails. Then had dinner and G early to bed. Listened to game, then crashed.
