Distance Travelled: 8.0 nm | Somesville to Islesford, Little Cranberry Island

cruise photoup in the AM watching the Hylass 49 reset anchor. Seemed very proficient. Ended up having nice long chat w/them--at end of 2-year cruise. First time they have dragged! Speculate that the IP might have fouled their gear when they set or pulled anchor. Nice folks (30s) chatted and exchanged contact info. ¶ Around 1030 headed out for Islesford. Arrived 1200 and picked up nice-seeming (heavy pennant w/rugged chafe gear) "town guest" mooring. Rowed (blaky engine) ashore and walked around. Heather found some bargain-basement designer label clothes for sale at the Islesfort Fair. G had a hot dog. Nice town. No ice (or anything available at Mkt, and restaraunt only has ice available on slow days. Back aboard H fixed dinghy motor (wet spark plug) then I went to Great Cranberry, about 20 minutes via dinghy for ice and a few goodies. Returned to find that H had gotten 2 lobsters. (H writes: 2 guys in an aluminum skiff came by to pull the traps by our stern. "Free lobstering demonstration" one of them said. I reached for the camera, but N had taken it. "A Kodak moment?" "Yeah, but my husband has the camera so you're safe." "Now you just need a couple of the lobsters for the complete experience, right?" "Sure" "Well, you're talking to the right guys." They dropped off 2 free lobsters before they buzzed away. "Welcome to Islesford" one of them said). Dinner and nice evening aboard. Bought 24-hours worth of "Redzone" internet access ($4.95) which we could access from the boat.
