June 13 | 2.3 Nautical Miles

Well, it really wasn't much to write home about... but it was our first sail. Almost a month since putting the boat in the water. Ugh. This rain...

I had Gavin for the day, so we decided we would head down to the boat and see if we could have a sail. As it turns out, we did in fact manage a short sail! Being my first day out with Gavin without Heather on the boat, I think we (Gavin and I) were both a little apprehensive so we made it short and sweet, sailing around the anchorage, and out by the north end of Clapboard Island before returning to the mooring for lunch. The winds were light, and we had a pretty lazy time of it, topping out at about 3.9 knots.

It was only a 50 minute sail, but I think we both enjoyed it quite well!
